I have to admit, I absolutely LOVE to see a beautifully designed wedding bouquet tied with flowing silk ribbon, don’t you? It adds such a gorgeous touch to an already beautiful work of art, with the ability to create a true feeling; from ethereal to dramatic, it’s amazing what a touch of silk ribbon can do!
I have started creating Bouquet Bundles here at Rêve, available to Florists, Brides and Wedding Planners on the island and have been completely blown away with the looks that they have created. A Bouquet Bundle includes 2-3 (or more!) shades of complimenting colors to add to your bridal bouquets. From skinny to wide, usually in 1-yard increments but am so open to doing longer to create a dramatic, flowing look like you’ll see below. I’m seriously obsessed with that long dramatic look.
I encourage you to think outside the box in regards to ribbon color, your silk ribbon doesn’t have to match the colors in your bouquet, though they can if you’d like. I am really into the looks below, and hope they help to spark your own ideas and creativity for your wedding bouquet look!

OK, can we please talk about this look!? I mean, I am obsessed. The gown, the veil and then the ribbon!? Obsessed. As you can see, the ribbon color doesn’t necessarily “match” the colors in the bridal bouquet but wow does it look amazing, am I right!? Add in the golden light that Maui is known for and you have absolute magic.
This ribbon is about 4-inches in width and each piece is about 2.5 – 3 yards long for that dramatic, flowing look. This bundle was purchased by the Planner as the bride completely trusted her with the color selection, in turn, the Planner completely trusted Rêve to come up with whatever color I thought would work et voilà, the result is what you see below!

For the wedding below, one single ribbon color was requested by the Planner, again, her bride trusted her completely, don’t you just love hearing that!? Dani of Platinum Wedding & Events sent me a swatch of color that she thought would look lovely with this bridal bouquet and I was happy to dye up this gorgeous look for her bride. Ribbon width is about 4-inches wide and 3-feet long, tied up in a sweet, overflowing bow by Dellables Floral Design. I think it looks incredible, don’t you!?

So what if you are just not into that bold, dramatic look? I got you! I am also totally into the soft, sweet, ethereal look and loved dyeing up these gorgeous looks for the more traditional bride.
For this tropical look, I created 2-inch wide ribbons in various tropical shades and let Dellables choose which ones she liked best to tie onto the bride’s bouquet. I love the soft shades that she chose in order to let the tropical colors of the bouquet really stand out!

I absolutely LOVE this gorgeous look below, I just have a thing for muted, neutral tones and I was amazed to see that my ribbon matched the bridesmaids dresses perfectly! 😀 This is my Silk Chiffon ribbon which is light, airy and ethereal, in 2.5 inches.

As you can see, there is no right or wrong way to use our silk bouquet ribbon, it all comes down to personal preference and your overall wedding style. I can dye any color that you can dream up and look forward to creating something specifically for your Maui wedding or event!
